Dressing for Dubai

How to create the perfect holiday wardrobe for a trip to Dubai

You’ve booked your next 7-star break to Dubai and the countdown to sun, sea and luxury is officially on. Next job on the agenda? Holiday shopping! Who doesn’t love browsing the stores for some beautiful new beachwear?

In this blog, we’ll show you just how easy it is to create a killer holiday wardrobe that will help you mingle with Dubai’s rich and famous.

Beach glamour

Dubai’s Jumeirah Beach is the perfect place to soak up some rays and top up your tan – but if the heat starts to become a little too much to bear, cover up with a pair of deconstructed denim shorts (one of the season’s hottest trends, may we add) and the gorgeous Middle East inspired Hamsa and Om Silk Kaftan Top.

Daytime Chic

With so many sights to see in Dubai, you need clothes that are as comfortable as they are stylish. For effortlessly cool daytime attire, you can’t go wrong with a maxi kaftan — it keeps your shoulders and legs covered for a trip to the souks, mosques or malls, without causing you to break out into a sweat.

The Anais Silk Maxi Kaftan is the ideal choice for a busy day of exploring. Adorned with Swarovski crystals, it certainly has the glam factor — which is great if you want to stop off for lunch in a swanky restaurant. After all, sightseeing is hard work!

Team your kaftan with a pair of oversized sunglasses, a wide-brimmed hat and some embellished, flat sandals for a chic yet striking daytime look. Don’t forget a large tote bag too, so you’ve got somewhere to stash your purchases from Dubai’s lavish malls.

Early Evening

Take your look from beach to bar with the stunning Limoncello Mini Kaftan. No matter whether you’re a blonde or brunette, the vibrant colour will really make your tan ‘pop’.

With shimmering Swarovski crystals that will catch the last of the Dubai sun, you’ll feel every bit elegant whilst you sip some sunset cocktails or a glass of bubbly in the hotel bar.

Nightclub glam

Home to some of the best nightlife in the world, Dubai has a wealth of bars of clubs where you can get dolled up and dance the night away to some of the biggest DJs on the planet. Here, you can mix with celebrities and fashionistas alike, so you’ll need to dress to impress to get into the most exclusive venues.

Whether you’re flaunting your trusty LBD, a floral number or a slinky white dress that shows off your tan, finish your outfit with your highest heels, statement jewellery and a bouncy blow-dry for an undeniably glamorous look that’s sure to turn heads (and gain you a place on the guest list!).

You’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to nightlife venues in Dubai, but be sure to check out the famous 360° bar and club at the end of the Jumeirah Beach Hotel walkway — with panoramic vistas of the Burj Al Arab and the Arabian Gulf, it’s a fantastic place for drinks with a view.

The Cavalli Club is another nightlife hotspot that’s not to be missed. Launched in collaboration with designer Roberto Cavalli, the club regularly plays host to live shows and DJ sets. The impressive interior alone — complete with extravagant, low-hanging chandeliers — is reason enough for this hip hangout to be one of Dubai’s go-to party destinations.

Whatever your plans are for your trip to Dubai, we’ll make sure you’ll be stepping on the plane with a dazzling holiday wardrobe.
