Finally, the long awaited summer seems a little closer, yesterday was the first day of spring and my favourite time of year is within reach. For most students my age, this time of year is never fun; days consist of endless revision, with any spare time spent trying to keep some form of social life. However, the prospect of some exciting travels has kept me going.
I am lucky to get my sense of Wanderlust from my parents, they too were feeling the effects of staying too long in the same place and so they have booked a family trip to the beautiful city of Barcelona. It has the reputation of being one of the most attractive cities in Europe and the cosmopolitan vibe makes it a favorite city for many people with culture, fashion and fun everywhere. There is something for everyone! Having never been, I can't wait to explore. Gaudi grabs the headlines when it comes to attractions in Barcelona, La Sagrada Familia is of course his crowning glory and I shall brave the queues to get up close to this towering cathedral.
Never one to pass up some shopping, I will most likely head to Las Ramblas, bursting with market stalls, shops, artists and street performers.
As the city’s iconic thoroughfare, it is bursting with the fiery Catalonian flair, tapas and drinks a plenty.
I'm never one to pass up the opportunity to go to the beach, Barcelona is home to arguably the best city beach in the world.
Naturally as the holiday draws closer, my mind turns towards packing. Taking the right clothes for a city break and also for a beach day can be tricky. However, looking at the gorgeous cover ups and kaftans on Kitten Beachwear has given me some real inspiration to take my style from beach to city.
